When the red sox finished 7-20 last Sept to blow a 10 gm lead in the wildcard, it was the first month they were under .500 mark in years. Well this season they struggled every month and did even worse this sept by losing more than 20 gms, including ending the season with 8 losses and 4-16 in the last 20 gms, I believe. They got swept in Balt and in NY to end season. Last place, 69-93 worst season since 1965. Manager fired. Maybe next year.
The Pat won their first gm, the lost to Arizona after we missed a field goal as time expired after replacement refs took away a Pats game winning TD on a pseudo holding call. Then in Balt, the Pats lost again via a field goal as time expired, but on further review it was actually no good, but the replacement refs got it wrong and called it good. The Past licked their wounds, and although down 21-7 in Buff, they scored 45 points.........in the 2nd half and smoked Buff 52-28. The Pats crushed Peyton and the Broncos yesterday and are now alone in 1st place at 3-2. They broke team record with 35 1st downs yesterday and have amazingly had at least 30 1st downs in their past 3 gms!
