While the Celts still lick their wounds from not finishing off the Heat, and the Bruins are locked out, the Red Sox......well we don't know. Nobody cares or watches. They are playing with a triple A team to see what the future could potentially hold. Seriously, they are using Posednick as DH along side infielders Aviles, Iglesas and Gomez while Lavarnway catches. It's scary I hear.
Even scarier are the Pats. Despite having the best team in football, they lost the past 2 weeks with the horrible officiating of the replacement refs, who have cost them the past 2 games. The team struggled with arizona, but even so, scored the winning touchdown in the waning seconds........but the refs called holding and forced the Past to kick a field goal to win it instead. Yep, Gostkowski missed it and the Pats lost 20-18. Even worse, last night in a hate fueled rematch of last season AFC Championship, the Pats led 30-21 with 4 minutes left. But the refs flagged the Pats every time the Ravens were down to their final play, and they pulled within 2 points in the waning seconds. A disgusting pseudo pass interference call that was so bogus set up the Ravens with a field goal chance to win it with 3 seconds left. The kicker seemingly missed wide right but the replacement refs called it good, the play couldn't be reviewed and the Pats were shocked as time expired in a loss for the 2nd week ina row. Belichick grabbed the dumb refs after the gm but it didn't mean anything the Pats were stuck with a loss! First time since 2003 they are under the .500 mark.
Bottom line, the team has to play better, get ona roll and retake the division and conference and despite the past 2 weeks of the football gods hating on the Pats, you gotta believe they will wake up and run the table and end up with near 14 wins.
