The Celtics sit a lackluster 15-17 at the All Star Break. This team is far removed from a team that went 7 games in the finals less than 2 years ago and swept the Knicks 9 months ago before battling the Heat in the playoffs. The team is old, injured and inconsistant to name just a few adjectives. They have lost their past 5 games, which is the 3rd time this season I think they have done that. Compare that to only losing 5 straight one time in 3 seasons shows how bad this team can be in this tightly compacted NBA shortened season. Yet, they are in the 8th spot in East and tied with NY for 3nd place in Atlantic.
The Bruins are trying their best but they are dealing with injuries and a bulls eye on their back as Stanley Cup Champs. The team lost Sunday in Minn. 2-0, won in St Louis 4-2, but lost 2-1 in Buffalo last night in a shootout. The team is a putrid 4-7 in Feb. so it is no surprise the team is just 3 points ahead of 2nd place Ottawa. The Bruins have 75 pts, Ottawa has 72. The two teams meet in a huge home-and-home series starting tonight!
