NOT A GOOD FEELING IN NEW ENGLAND

The biggest collapse ever? The 2011 Boston Red Sox could be the definition of the preceding question. The team, which led the AL and was in first place of the AL East from May to August, is now half a game from being out of any postseason drivers seat. The team is having their worst September in a century, yes, I wrote CENTURY! How, well, lets break it down. The team opened the month losing to their rival Yanks, then ,lost 2 of 3 versus Texas.........feel free to look away. The team had only AL East opponents left, and here is how sad it went: the team went to Toronto and lost 3 of 4 games, including blowing leads in two of them and then losing 1-0 in extras. It gets worse, as the team heading to Tampa, knowing winning one game would put them far away from the Rays; they did not as they lost all 4 games! No worries, as the team had rematches with both clubs, but this time in Boston. What happened? Well, the team split 2 games with Toronto as Bard blew his 3rd save of the month, then it was the big one; a 4 game set with the Rays. The result? The Sox lost 3 of 4games and their 11 game wildcard was down to a couple games. The Orioles came into Fenway for the Sox' final home series. 4 days later, the team was deeply booed off the field after losing 3 of 4 games to the last place Orioles.

I t was sad to see, as they got booed and that was it for the regular season at the Fens. The team got out of town fast, hoping to avoid the furious fans. They did, and traveled to NY. The team sadly lost the first game 9-1 and today's game(not sure the score, was watching Pats, more on them later). So here we are. The Red Sox are 5-18 in September and are 88-70. Sad. They have a mere 1/2 game lead in wildcard. The division went to NY. The Red Sox have 4 games an must win all 4 to guarantee a playoff spot. The team plays NY tonight trying to avoid a sweep, then head to Baltimore. Will they fix things? The team cant hit, has no confidence, and every day and night is the same; the pitchers last 3 innings and then bullpen gives up any lead they actually enter with. Let's hope they fix this.

The Pats won their first two games over Miami and San Diego. Today they took on the Bills, who have not beaten the Pats since 2003!!!!! The Pats led 21-0 and were hoping to win, right? They lost as time expired 34-31 as NLF MVP Tom Brady threw 4 picks. I am so sad, hope next week things will be different for the Pats and tonight and next week will be different for the Red Sox. Next week the Pats go to Oakland and we can hope the Red Sox are traveling to Texas, or Detroit, either one.
