After the Red Sox defeated the Yanks a week ago today, they headed to Minnesota. After extending their AL East lead to 2 games, the team had the chance to expand it while they were about to get hot. The problem was the same as it has been all season; bad teams. Moreover, the Red Sox stink when they play poor teams, i.e. the Pirates, Padres, White Sox, Mariners and Royals. The can play LA, NY, TB and DET, but with crappy teams they cant do much. The team lost to the Twins on Wed, they lost to Seattle on Saturday, and are about to possibly lose again to the lowly Mariners unless they wake up and overcome a 3-1 lead. If that is the case, the lead will shrink to a mere .5 game. It should be 4 games. Anyhow, let's stay positive. After all, the team does have an amazing record(73-45) which only the Phillies can top. The team has a big week ahead with rival TB in for 3 games then the team heads to KC for a long weekend. They continue the trip in Texas and then return home for Oakland, NY and Texas.
