2011 RED SOX DOMINATE

The Red Sox sit at 82-51 here in late August. Even with injuries to many of their stars, the team continues to make things happen. Although Wake cant seem to get his 200th victory, the staff of Beckett, Lester, Bedard, Lackey and Miller have pitched well. The bullpen is the best in baseball with Bard, Paps, Albers, Wheeler and Aceves. With Ellsbury, Pedroia and Gonzo are MVP candidates, they continually bolster the lineup in the first 3 spots. This week, the team found a way to defeat the Rangers as they won 3 of 4. The team battled Hurricane Irene and the A's by winning 2 of 3. The team has the most wins in baseball, save for the Phillies who have one more. This week, the team plays the Yanks at Fenway in a huge series for both clubs. Go Red Sox!
