Here we are in early August and our Red Sox are tied on top of the AL EAST per usual. The team struggled with the Indians once again this week and split 4 games, thus lost the season series to that pesky ball club. The problem was the Yanks swept four games from the chi-sox. The Yanks came back to steal game one at Fenway on Friday night in the series opener between the two clubs, but the Sox smashed C.C. once again and the teams are tied with the rubber game tonight on national television with CY Young candidate Beckett on mound for good guys. Here are the standings that matter:
AL EAST
- RED SOX 69-43 -
- YANKEES 69-43 -
- TAMPA 59-53 10
- TORONTO 58-56 12
- BALTIMORE 44-67 24.5
