2011 RED SOX KICKED ASS IN JULY

Our boys of summer are in first place where they belong. That is thanks, in part, to a 20-6 July. The team is stacked, as Ellsbury, Pedroia and Gonzalez are all MVP candidates. They are all batting way above .300, have more than 15 homers and 50 RBI with on base percentages above .400. Amazing! Gonzo leads MLB in hits, average(.361) and RBI(90). The staff welcomed Lester back finally, and he joins Beckett, Wake, Lackey and Miller. Buchholz was shut down months ago because of a bad back and probably wont return until the post season, so the club traded for Bedard an hour ago to get by until then and maybe beyond. The bullpen is brilliant, thanks to Aceves long relief duties, Bard's 8th inning set up role(has hasn't given up a single run since May, which is 26 straight scoreless appearances)! Paps has been awesome as well. There you have it; the Red Sox have a glistening AL best(and only 1/2 game behind the Phillies) 66-40 record.

In other lesser news, the NBA is in a lockout, but the NFL ended theirs and thus the Pats cut Warren and signed troubled star Haynesworth and the boisterous Ochocinco.
