RED SOX HAVE NOT WON SINCE MONDAY(IT'S NOW SATURDAY)
The Sox had everything going for themselves last weekend; they were mostly healthy, they had a 2.5 game lead over the Yanks and they led the league in runs scored. Then the downfall. The team lost their some of their core players to injuries, including Lowrie, Crawford, Beckett, Buchholz and some other additions. The reason hey have slumped and their lead in the division is a minuscule half a game is because of the injuries plus the lack of timely hitting. They have left at least 10 guys on bases in nearly every loss this week so far. Yesterday, for instance, backup to turned starting OF McDonald left 6 guys on base alone. Its gross, sickening and inexcusable. Even worse, this slump comes against the two o the worst teams in baseball in the Padres and Pirates. The Sox can still save face by beating the Pirates the next 2 games. After that, they go to play the best team in baseball in the Phillies. To end on positive note, Gonzo is batting .360 and is on pace for a whopping 159 RBI.
