HOCKEY GODS NOT WITH BRUINS SO FAR IN 2011 STANLEY CUP FINALS

The Bruins are playing in their first Stanley Cup Finals since 1990. Their opponent is the stacked Vancouver Canucks. Through 2 games, the series is Vancouver 2-0, yet, the Bruins have equaled if not outplayed the Nucks'. So whats the story you might ask? Well, a couple bad breaks. Thomas and Luongo battled for 59 minutes in game one, but with 18 seconds left, Boychuk went for a hit and missed and the bad guys scored with 18 seconds left. Hell. One would figure that luck would be on the Bruins in Game 2, right? It wasn't. The Bruins outplayed Van and led 2-1 halfway through the 3rd period, but the Nucks scored to tie it late and the pivotal game went to OT. Just 11 seconds in, Burrows scored the game winner. Shocking. Even worse, Burrows was supposed to be suspended for 2 games as camera saw him bite Bergeron's finger in a post-whistle scuffle. The league backed off, showed no guts and let him play, and he hurt the Bruins with his stick rather than his teeth this time around. The Bruins must battled, as they have thus far, to win Game 3 in Boston and see if they can get momentum to head back to Van for Game 5 tied at 2 games apiece.
As for the other team in town, they are 33-26 and sit a half game behind the Yanks for first place. The two play a series next week. This past week was unique for the Red Sox, as they got swept in Boston to the lowly White Sox, then battled back to sweep a pesky A's club.
