2011 BOSTON BRUINS WIN THE CUP
They did it. If you have been reading this blog over the past few years, you now get to reap the benefits. In this here space last time, the Bruins were down in the series 3 games to 2. Well, in Game 6 the Bruins won easy to force a game 7. In that game, Tim Thomas was his usual stellar self and the Bruinas got to Luongo three times through 2 periods, including two goals from Bergeron. The Bruins won 4-0 and won the Cup. It's so amazing and therefore typing a blog that will never express how exciting this is. The parade had over 1 million people. Game 7 was the most watched hockey game since 1973! The Bruins rating surpassed the Celtics and their championship run the ending with cheers in 2009. The series will be remembered for Burrows biting Bergy in Game 1 and for Horton getting concussed on a cheap hit by Rome. After the hit, the Bruins had the pep they needed, and after Luongo called out Thomas following Game 5 it helped even more. Even though Sedin predicted a Game 7 win for the Nucks' it was all for naught; the Bruins won their first championship since 1972!
