BRUINS BATTLE, SOX ALMOST GET IN 1ST PLACE

The Red Sox have been playing much better as of late, which is surprising considered Lackey and Dice K are on the DL. The team is playing the Cubs this weekend. Yesterday, they led 3-1 in the 8th but the pen relented 8 runs and the Sox lost. They lost the chance to move into first place alone. No worries, it is early.
The Bruins erupted in Game 2 in thir Eastern Conf. Finals vs. Tampa and held on 6-5. In Game 3, Thomas was stout in a 2-0 win. Game 4 was unfortunate. They led 3-0 after the first period and has 2 quick PP opportunities in the 2nd period. They didn't score and after a lightning goalie change, the Boston Bruins gave up 4 straight and lost 4-3. The series shifts to Boston for Game 5 and is a best-of-three series. Next blog will be an epic one, a celebratory one we can hope. Will the Bruins play the Canucks in the Stanley Cup final? Hope so! Go Bruins!
