BRUINS AND CELTICS MAINTAIN FIRST PLACE/ BRUINS SAVE SEASON

The Celtics will have 4 players in tonight's All Star festivity. The team has the best record in the Eastern Conference. They defeated New Jersey last Wed. The Bruins are in first place. Things looked bleak as of mid-week. The Bruins lost a home and home with the Red Wings after their epic win versus MTL. The team hoped to end their losing ways at the Garden versus the lowly Leafs. Problem was, the Leafs scored 2 goals in the last 5 minutes to win 4-3 and stun the hockey world. With MTL getting a point that same night, the Bruins and Habs were tied for first place with 69 points. The next day, things changed. The Bruins traded to acquire Tomas Kaberle from the Leafs, as well as pick up Chris Kelly from OTT and Rich Peverely from ATL. Although the Bruins gave up alot, it was needed to save the season. It has worked so far, as the Bruins smashed the Isles 6-3 and then the Sens 4-2. Rask was in net and looked good. The Bruins play in Calgary Tue, Vancouver on Sat and Edmonton a week from today. Below is the top 8 teams whom would make the playoffs as of today.
