BACK IN ACTION

Not much to talk about these days. The Celts start pre-season soon and the Bruins have been playing exhibition as they await the opener in Prague in 2 weeks. The Red Sox are 86-68. Not bad, but not the usual 96 win pace they have reached nearly every year in memory. They are playing rare, meaningless games, although they are 5 games behind the Yanks and are 7-7 with them this year with 4 games to go, hey, who knows?
The Pats broke my heart last week, they went NY and bashed the Jets around in the first half, but didn't do enough, and when the Jets kicked a field goal to end the first half it was 14-10 Pats. But they tanked it in the 2nd half, they got outscored 18-0 in the 2nd half and lost. That's two straight seasons wherein we won our opener, then went week 2 versus Jets, blew halftime leads and lost. To make matters worse, they lost Kevin Faulk for the year, an absolute stud who always gets 70-80 all purpose yards per game and gets key first downs.
The good news was the Pats battled back and won 38-30 today versus Buffalo. That's 14 straight wins for the Pats over the Bills. The 2010 Pats have a brilliant offense(Brady,Welker, Moss, Gronkowski, Hernandez) that should score 30 every game. But they have a poor defense and will give up 25. Next up are the Dolphins in primetime!
