I HATE MAY 14TH..............THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY

Fu*# May 14th. F*#k the hockey gods.
Anyhow, the good, the bad the ugly. On random, let's start with the bad; the Red Sox.
It's been 38 games and the team is pretty much out of it. They are a putrid 19-19. The team signed some veterans in the off season to 2 year deals to branch us until all the prospects are ready. They signed Cameron, who has been out all season. They signed Lackey, who has been terrible, actually horrible. They signed Scutaro, he sucks, batting .265 with just 2 homers. Gonzo, on the other hand, has been great in Toronto since we let him walk and has hit 10 homers! The team has wavered around .500 for some time now. You know why they can't pull it together? Take this weekend.........the team was 19-17 and was in Detroit. The Sox led 6-1 and were about to get hot. So what happened? The team blew the lead and we lost in 12 innings. Hence, they ended the momentum and ended up losing today today. Instead of being 21-17, they are 19-19. This is what is happening right now in Red Sox nation. It sucks!
Now the ugly. This hurts. I can't believe I'm typing this. Is this reality? I'm still in shock. Yes, I'm talking about the Bruins. Season over. Why? How? Well I know how. The Bruins won the first 3 games. They lead 3-0. They lose their best playmaker, David Krejci. The Flyers get Gagne back. Anyhow, Game 4 goes to OT. We score in sudden death, we move on. We get a power play, we dont score. We end up losing, no biggie, right? We're still up 3 games to 1. Game 5 in Boston, the Garden is going nuts, it's a sellout. Yet, we get smoked..............4-0. Ouch. Time to go back to Philly for a 6th game. Flyers use Leighton with Boucher injured. Flyers still more desperate and get a 2-1 win. WHAT! Time for Game 7. Only 2 hockey teams on 85 years have blown 3-0 leads. Game 7, Garden nutty, yellow towels going. It's May 14th though, one year ago today we lost to Carolina in OT to end season. Night mare. Anyhow, it's Game 7. We win we host arch enemy Montreal for conference Finals, to be the first one since 1992. We come out fighting and score 3 goals in the first! Yes! Flyers call timeout. The score one goal, then two, then tie it up. What the fuc#? It's the 3rd period, 8 minutes left, and...........too many men on the ice(Savard/Sobotka). The Flyers score with 7 minutes left, we hit crossbar(for the 50th time this series) and lose 4-3. Epic collapse, season over. Just another mental scar the Bruins leave me.
Three straight years we lose Game 7. I'm still shocked, may never recover. Why?
Sorry for that, can't believe it is so. I had to use a new writing skill to get through that.
Okay, the GOOD! The Celtics! The Celtics got blown out Game 3. We are down in the series 2-1, but we hold on for a close win in Game 4 and even the series. In Game 5, Lebron is hesitant and the Celts are great, thus the Celtics win .................120-88. After we suffered our worst ever playoff loss, we do the same to the Cavs. In Game 6, a battle ensues, but the Celtics lead the whole way and win by 9 points. The King is dethroned. The Celtics shock the world and upset the #1 Cavs. We move on to the Eastern Conference Finals. The Magic, who knocked the Celtics out last season in the 2nd round, are our opponent. The Celtics are a different team than the 50-32 regular season club, one that was 27-27 after Christmas. They told us they were bored, it was the regular season and they would start playing in the playoffs; they were right. The Big Three and Rondo have been great, as has the bench.
Guess what? The Celtics are hot. Today, we opened up in Orlando and led by 2o points most of the 3rd quarter and held on to win 92-88. Boston leads the Magic 1-0. First team to 4 victories plays the Suns/ Lakers series!
It's funny. Last week, the Bruins were up 3-0 and coasting to the Conference Finals. The Celtics, on the other hand, were down 2-1 after losing Game 3 by 30 points. So how did the Celtics turn it around and win 3 in a row to move on and yet the Bruins lost 4 straight to enter the dreaded history books? I hope I explained it. It's bittersweet. If the Celtics win it all I'll be okay with it all.
