I ASK AGAIN, FIRE FRANCONA......GO CELTICS AND BRUINS!

Let's get the bad out of the way. The Red Sox stink. I've watched every season since 1995 and every year they win 95 games and made it into October. I've lost interest. After all, can you blame me, we won the World Series in 2004 and 2007. 2008 saw a devastating ALCS Game 7 loss to Tampa, I was crushed. Last season, they played well but lost to the Halos in October. Frantically, Theo and Co. let the team fall apart, guys left like Gonzo and Bay and he signed stiffs like Beltre and Cameron. He's paying for it now, so who's gonna be the fall guy, the scapegoat? The team got swept today by the 3-18 Orioles. It was the first O's sweep versus the Sox in over 30 years! The hitting is horrid, guys are around .200. The pitching and bullpen stink, one always betrays the other. The blow leads, as they did the previous two nights. It's May 1st and they are basically done, behind the Rays and Yanks by near double digits! Can they turn it around, well, who knows, but a 10 game homestand may help.
Let's turn positive. Don't let the Sox ruin this great, impressive magical run by our green and black-and-gold! Let's start with the Celts. They finished the job against Miami in 5 games. On to the 2nd round and King James and the Cavs. Sure, they're the underdogs. In Game 1 last night, the Celts choked. The blew a double digit 2nd half lead and only score one basket in the last 5 minutes of the game. Epic collapse. Cavs win Game 1 in a wasted opportunity for the green.
Let's celebrate! Our Bruins. No Stuart, Savy or Seidenburg no problem. Yes, we did it. We beat the Sabres! Game 6 was impressive. Had the Bruins lost, ouch, going back to Buffalo for a Game 7. That is a scary idea, but one unnecessary after a 5-3 win. It was a great game, great series. The Sabres pulled within one goal after pulling their goalie but Rask was brilliant and we held on! Fast forward to yesterday, Game 1 versus the Flyers............in Boston. Yes, the #1, #2 and #3 seeds all were upset, giving the Bruins home ice advantage! Savy returned for Game 1, his first game since March 7 and the Cooke elbow to his dome. This was a great game, the place was packed. National television, the Garden was loud! We lost Sturm to a devastating injury in the first minute, so guys had to step up, and that they did. We led 4-2 with 7 minutes left, but somehow they tied it up late. It went to OT. The OT was great, up and down, the B's had so many chances but Boucher was solid. Rask stopped a breakaway, which was key because we did win, on a winner by guess who, Marc Savard! Great start to the series, a possible devastating, momentum-swinging loss was avoided. Now it's time to take 2 and then head out to Philly.
