BRUINS ICING THE FLYERS, CELTICS EQUALING THE CAVS AND THE RED SOX STILL SUCK

The Red Sox still suck. You would think it would be dumb to start another Sunday blog with the Sox, especially with the Celts and Bruins in the semifinals. But I'd rather get it out of the way. The team got swept in Baltimore, but came home and swept the Angels. Just when they mad it to 15-14, above .500, the pinstripes came into town and beat us a combined 22-6. Humiliating, right? Disgusting. Okay, so Cameron and Ellsbury have been injured all season, but no excuses. The team sucks. Hence, the Sox are 1-8 at Fenway versus the Yanks and Rays, who are tied for first and a whopping 7 games ahead of the Sox. Tonight the Sox can salvage one win as they send Lester to the hill for a nationally televised game.
The Celtics lost Game 1 to the Cavs, but won game 2. The Cavs then came into Boston and blew the Celts out. Today, the green found a way and lead the whole game thanks to Rondo, who had a triple double with 29 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists! Amazing game. The series is tied 2-2 with Game 5 Tuesday night in Cleveland. But this is a good situation to be in, especially since the best 2 games we played this series was in Cleveland anyhow. Hopefully, next week's blog will be one in which I preview the Celts and Magic Eastern Finals matchup!
The Bruins are doing great. They came one goal away from sweeping the Flyers. I truly thought the other night I would be blogging right now about the sweep. The team won Game 2 on a late goal by Looch. They played rather poorly in Philly in Game 3 but Rask was the difference in a 4-1 win. With the series 3-0 Bruins, Game 4 witnessed desperation by the Flyers, including the premature return of Gagne. Stuart returned for the Bruins a game early as well when McQuaid got injured. The bad news this week is Krejci broke a wrist and is out for the rest of the postseason. In any case, they didn't miss him too much in Game 4. After we lead 1-0, they scored 3 straight goals but we tied it at 3 apiece. The game went to a sudden death overtime, one in which both teams had chances, including a power play for the good guys. Unfortunately, it was not the Bruins night to move onto the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 18 years. Gagne got the winner, and the Bruins are left to settle for the opportunity to win the series in Game 5 in Boston tomorrow night! Go Bruins!
