The Patriots(6-2) have a monster game tonite against the Colts(8-0). It is going to be epic, and may go down as one of the most hyped NFL regular season games ever. Go Pats!
In the meantime, the Celtics came down from the high they were one. After beating the Jazz, the team held their heads up high with their 8-1 mark. Clearly over confident and extremely cocky, the team laid an egg over the weekend, losing to the Hawks and Pacers. Ouch. Both are decent teams, but to be elite they have to win those with ease. The team hopes to rectify things on Wednesday versus the struggling Warriors.
The Bruins, still awaiting the return of team studs, Looch and Savard, are trying to hang around. The team did a good job of it this week, defeating the Pens 3-0. The team played the lowly Panthers next, and after 65 minutes of scoreless hockey, both Vokoun and Thomas had shutouts. But, the Panthers won 1-0 in the shootout. Boos reigned down.
The same would of happened the next game, if it had been at home. But it was in Pittsburgh, in a rematch. Goals were a plenty, and the Bruins nursed a 5-4 lead. But the unfathomable occurred, and the Pens tied it with 0.04 seconds remaining. The goal was upheld, and the Pens won it in OT. The horrifying loss brought back last season's infamous MLK loss to the Blues. The team has no time to cry in their beers, as the Isles come to town Monday.
Lastly, the BC Eagles are doing well. The team went in to Virginia and won a close one 14-10. So the situation is this;the team is 7-3, and will go to a bowl. But the team needs to win both of their remaining games(North Carolina and Maryland) and hope Virginia beats Clemson so they can go to their 3rd consecutive ACC Championship Game.
