2009 MLB PREDICTIONS

I started this New England sports blog to prove I deserve the nickname "the prophet" that my peers gave me. They said I have an amazing ability to predict college and professional sports leagues and also because I bring the newest and heaviest of rock and metal to the world via my radio gig.
But it's times like these that truly make or break it. With the 2009 MLB season launching in the next few hours, I am a bit wary. Honestly, I have not followed any baseball since my Red Sox lost Game 7 of the ALCS. Lately, I have gave all my recreational free time on the Bruins and Celtics, especially the former.
So as I post my predictions below, don't bet your house on it. I still think I'll nail most of the them though. Injuries always play a factor. There will certainly be a surprise team or two. The 2008 Rays was last year's story. Some teams, such as the Red Sox, Angels, Cubs, Dodgers, Yanks, spend the money and are usually shoe-ins to make the post-season. But here goes!
