CELTICS BRUINS EAGLES ACTION FEB. 8-15

Let's get right down to it. The Bruins lost all 3 games this week and have lost 4 in a row. It really sucks. The team had difficulty scoring this week. They took on the Sharks in a possible preview of this year's Stanley Cup Finals. The good guys took a 2-1 lead into the final frame................but collapsed in the waning minutes and fell 5-2. Disgraceful indeed. But things got worse this weekend. A chance to get retribution vs. the Devils did not happen as Clemmenson out dueled Thomas 1-0. Life stinks. The Bruins then traveled to Nashville the following night and continued to not put the puck in the net. The score was 1 nil after 1 period, making it a whopping 6 periods in a row without a goal. Unbelievable. Fortunately, the team got a goal but still trailed 2-1 entering the final period. With Fernandez pulled, Chara got the equalizer with 80 seconds left. The game went to a shootout and despite having many opportunities to win, they fell in the 4th round. So this is the inevitable losing streak that every team goes through. The team should end it soon as they travel to Carolina and then South Florida in hopes of getting things back on track.
The team still leads MTL by 20 points in the Northeast , has the most points in the Eastern Conference and the league for that matter. Things are still bright after a horrific week!
The Celtics took a different direction this week. After a horrific loss to Spurs a week ago today, the team went out West and beat two great clubs in the Hornets and Mavs. Great 4th quarters put the Green back on top. The team has the best record in the East at this weekend's All-Star break at 44-11. Only the Lakers have a better win % in the NBA!
Lastly, the BC Eagles made some noise today and proved they should go dancing next month. That is despite going 1-2 this week. The team collapsed a week ago today vs. Wake and then fell again down the stretch against Clemson. But the skies opened up today as the Eagles knocked off #6 Duke 80-74. This is the 2nd time the Eagles have defeated a top 10 team! The team has 4 games left to get hot before the ACC Tourney. They are 19-8 overall and 7-5 in the conference! They have 4 players averaging double figures: Rice, Sanders , Raji and Trapani. Yes!
