MONDAY MORNING QB 56-10

This is blog number 70 and I hope it's memorable. We have 2 games to discuss- the Patriots-Bills and the Celtics/Magic. Both games were from last night.
The Celtics came out flat and Orlando played their best ball. Even so, the Celts came back to take a 88-87 lead. In the end, the Celtics hung were down 2 late but Allen and House missed 3 point shots to go ahead. The Magic led 104-102 with 7 seconds remaining and the Celtics had the final possession. Curiously, Pierce heaved up a long three and missed. Game over. The Celtics suffered their 1st loss. Oh well.
Moving to the dynastic Pats. On national television, the Pats absolutely crushed the 5-4 Bills. I was so one-sided the Pats had 35 points at the half, more than any NFL team scored all day thru 4 quarters. Moss had 4 td catches- in the 1st half. The Pats scored on their first 7 possessions. A 35-7 lead at the half turned into a 56-10 win.
Moss broke a franchise record for td's in a single season with 16. The 56 points are a franchise high- they scored 8 td's bringing their season total to 54. Brady broke Steve Grogan's franchise td record of 182 by getting 185 already! He went 31-39 with 5 td's no picks and 373. He continues the NFL record of at least 3 td's in 10 straight games. Moss finished with 10 catches for 128 and the 4 scores.
The Pats outgained the Bills 510-216. They had 8 possessions and scored on the 1st 7. Cassell came in and brought the Pats to the Bills 31. They could have kicked a field goal to score all 8 times but the score was already ugly.
Thomas had 2.5 sacks and Hobbs ad Gay had picks. The announcers, Madden in particular called the Pats the best team he's ever seen. Better than the 86' Bears. That team, considered the bets ever, beat opponents by 16 points per game on average- the Pats are winning by 26!
They are on pace to score more points than the 98 Vikings and Brady is on target to break Manning's NFL record td passes in a season. Welker had 7 grabs and defensively the team was stout. It was a total domination in every which way. The Pats welcome the 5-5 Eagles into the razor next Sunday night.
