MAGICAL WEEK 1 OF 2

Another week has passed and once again I fell so fortunate to be living in Boston, most importantly because of our sports clubs. The Patriots improved to 7-0 after defeating the Dolphins in Miami. The score was 42-7 and Bradt threw 5 td's and had roughly 300 yards-in the first half! Even with the backup's getting significant time, the Pats still crushed the phins' 49-28.
The team scored 35 points or more for the 7th straight time. Brady finished with 6 td's and no picks. He has now thrown 27 td's and just 2 picks. His passer rating for the game was 158.3, the highest possible number. Welker and Moss each had over 100 yards and 2 td's. It was total domination. All the experts are saying it's the best football team in league history. They say they'll go undefeated, but I'm like coach and take it game by game.
The B.C. football team was off and remain the #2 team in the country behind OSU. They'll travel to Blacksburg to take on the #8 team on Thursday night in front of a national television audience. We wish them the best.
The Bruins look fantastic too. They beat Tampa in the home opener then shutout the Rangers on Saturday to improve to 5-2 on the young season. They travel to Montreal on Monday night.
Thus far, the team studs have been Tim Thomas in goal and scorers Kessel, Savard and Bergeron to name a few.
The Revolution will host a playoff series after finishing the season 14-8-8 and in second place. They'll take on the NY Red Bulls the next 2 Saturday's to determine their fate. The team is led by Matt Reis in goal and scorers like Twellman, Rolston and Joseph.
Now to high school football. My Billerica Indians rebounded from an upset loss in Dracut to beat St. John's Prep 20-10. They remain in the top 10 in Massachusetts and are 6-1. Haverhill is up next. And lastly, congrats to my summer home-away-from-home Dennis-Yarmouth. The high school football program remain undefeated at 7-0.
