Let's start with the Pats. After dealing with the so-called videogate all week, the team stepped up and thrashed the Chargers 38-14. Much like the previous week, the Pats dominated in all facets of the game. Brady was awesome and Colvin played his best game in a Pats uniform. The team looks unstoppable.
The Sox had a pathetic week. The team continues to search for their identity. Despite having the best record in baseball, the team is slumping into the playoffs. After losing the first game of the week to Tampa, it took 2 comeback wins to win the series. The team then welcomed the Yanks into town. In the opener Friday, the team blew a 7-2 lead in the 8th and lost. After securing game 2, Schilling pitched well but gave up a 3 run shot to Jeter in the 8th. Big Papi, who had a good week, popped out with the bases juiced and 2 outs in the 9th. The Yanks closed within 4.5 games with the magic number at 9. The Yanks won the season series 10-8.
So the Pats won and the Sox flopped. The BC Eagles football team crushed the other best team in the ACC, Georgia Tech, 24-10. BC moved to #12 in the country.
Lastly, I want to congratulate the Billerica Indians football club for upsetting #3 Woburn to improve to 3-0 and now have cracked the top ten in the state. Congrats and goodbye to the North Shore Spirit, who lost the championship in their farewell game.
