2007 MLB
AL West
- Angels 86
- Athletics 86
- Mariners 81
- Rangers 77
The Angels and A's should compete for the division. Success and August are a given for the A's, and they could win the division in the end. Both clubs have a decent lineup and staff, though the Angles may nip the A's with a slightly better pen'. The Mariners should win 80+ games, but they won't. I like the lineup even though the bottom of it has weak spots. Their staff could be great, but all 5 starters are your run of the mill 4th line starters. Even so, it today's baseball that may be enough to seriously contend. The Rangers staff is weak, and the lineup lacks near the top and bottom. Sosa and Gagne will probably be busts. In general, all 4 clubs pose above average bullpen's that may be the deciding factor in this close knit division.
